Went to urgent care for a finger injury tonight 30/11/25 thank you to the lovely Terry in SDEC, I was a wimp but he was so kind and caring ! We need more staff like Terry , well done , even though the wait was a while xx

In UCC FOR 4 hours with my son vomitting constantly with no update on how long the wait would be. Only given 3 stars as once we were seen the doctors/clinicians were so lovely but UCC needs to be ran better.

The hospital is extremely old and very dirty. The blonde woman at the reception is incredibly rude and not polite at all. If you feel very unwell and everything hurts don’t worry, no one will help you anyway. You will be waiting for at least 10 hours, surrounded by homeless people who are fighting inside the hospital. I have never seen such terrible hospitals in my life. It feels like these buildings are from World War II and have never been renovated. No one is in a hurry. As a carer, I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to the team at Same Day Emergency Care. They looked after my patient with exceptional kindness, patience, and professionalism. Even under heavy pressure, they remained calm, attentive, and genuinely caring. I would especially like to acknowledge Zach, Toko, Helen, Nicola, and the rest of the staff for their outstanding support. Their help made a real difference, and I am truly grateful for everything they did.
