Terrible customer service. Was trying to access my money whilst overseas. I called 10 times and everytime the person on the other end said they would transfer me to the appropriate team and evertime it would just disconnect. Came back to the Mascot branch to try and do the exact same thing and no one could help me. They told me to ring customer service and the exact same thing happened. Closing my account with them and moving my money elsewhere.
This review is not referring to any particular branch, I only chose Mascot because that’s where I opened my account years ago. I applied for a refinance loan over 8 months ago and it’s still not finalised. I keep being sent around in circles and not one person can explain to me why this is happening despite my repeated attempts. I’ve asked people to contact me about this but they just ignore it. Tried to open a bank account here after receiving an email saying “bring along your government-issued photo ID, and we'll be able to open your savings account in no time”. (The same has been confirmed by their customer service over the phone). However at the branch they tell me that I also need a proof of address. Classic! Sorry I don’t have it as I’ve just arrived to Sydney.
Fraud team constantly locking my account. Travelled to Indonesia, used an ATM at airport, they locked my account and texted me a local number to call in Australia. Even after I went to the effort of notifying them that I was travelling to Indonesia and set up my cards for international withdrawal. PayPal transactions - fraud team locks account, and Zippay transactions - fraud team. A serious pain in the but. Now have to transfer back into my CBA account. Don’t use this Mob.
