Be prepared to be billed for their new rookie guy “Thamer” mistakes. I requested the shop to look into my rear break pads and when they started to work on my car instead of lifting the whole rear side they lifted one side really high which caused a lot of stress on the other side and caused a damage. I trust and respect George and Joshua but never going back there again. Taking my business elsewhere after what happened in my last visit. So disappointed to switch as it was my favourite mechanic shop.
We had an amazing experience with Quay West Automotive! Our older 1980s camper van was struggling to handle all the hills and turns the island had. We were on the Island for a trip and were worried we wouldn’t make it home because of our van not staying in gear. So we called Quay West and they got us in the next day and fix the problem right away! The van runs even better than we thought it could! When you find an honest mechanic, you just thank your lucky stars! George & Josh are knowledgeable & efficient problem solvers, whether working on a newer vehicle or keeping the old camper van running. And kindness—these guys are just the best.
Owner is very nice and honest. Every shop in town was busy. He was the only guy to stop his work and give me some crucial repair tips. I ended up completing the job myself. But without him I would have been stuck. Thanks George. My ol Mustang was happy ;)
Our transmission started to go on the Bamfield road and Quay West got us in immediately. Great service and reasonably priced!
