My car had an issue, and I was broken down on the side of the interstate. Found Quartz automotive through map search, and they were the closest mechanics to my location at the time. I called them, then we did a video chat, so they could assess the issue. We figured out the wheel studs were broken, probably caused by a previous tire shop that overtightened the lugs. We were 3 hours in on a 15 hour move with our uhaul when it wouldn’t start back up after getting some fuel. Jarrel is a subcontractor for uhaul and although we were stuck for 24 hours due to having to find a new alternator for the truck, he was able to swap it out quickly and get us on our way.
Used Jerrel before to replace my radiator and on a second occasion to replace my thermostat. Called him because I was having the same issues that I was having before with my thermostat. He told me it was impossible and he buys good parts and thats not what was wrong with the car. Then he said that he would come out to look at it. We planned for 9am. The mechanic that was sent out to my house was the rudest I’ve ever met. He pulled up at my home and said give me the $35 or I’m leaving the $35 was for a diagnostic fee. OK no problem. Give you $35 then you rude as hell the whole damn time you there then when you find out what’s wrong with the car you say you’re gonna come back And fix the car you come back to fix the car and you say give me my $335 or I’m leaving please leave you are unprofessional I don’t even know if he’s a good mechanic because his rudeness overshadowed... read more
He's fine if you need an oil change. I absolutely would not recommend Jarel to do anything major to an imported car. I paid him $2300 to perform a timing chain replacement on my Mini Cooper. After more than 5 returns to his shop for ridiculous issues ((once they left the radiator cap off), the car became completely inoperable. No one in Greensboro could figure out why it wouldn't start.
