Co-op does not take responsibility for deferring repair requests. Mushrooms grew in my unit. The co-op blames my family and animals for the damage rather than the water leaks running throughout my unit.
I was hired to be the property manager. The treasurer of the board refuses to separate herself from the financials and instead performed management duties as if she was part of the team, except her methodologies and systems were in direct conflict with mine. CBC news wrote an article in 2023 about someone's ignored black mold problem... for your safety, please do not. ALWAYS do online research before renting a place! check reddit & news articles etc.
My rent is $1148/mth but the baseboard heaters add $200-300 total Dec-Feb. Maintenance doesn't fix problems, even a bathroom water leak which is causing drywall to crumble. It's too bad, especially since the bedrooms are great sizes.
