I tried Rancher's Selection prime rib that I bought for $5/lb at a Food Lion in NC over the holidays and I was pleased with the quality for the price. I'm from Central Kentucky where $5 might buy you a pound of low grade hamburger meat that smells bad. I can't tolerate the beef sold here -- the quality is so poor. I came to this web-page to find out more. I've considered dropping beef from my diet altogether. I've cooked barbecue professionally in tournaments and I just can't accept the low grades of beef sold these days.
