I stayed there in June after picking up work from out of town. I had to wash my hair & use heat to straighten it. They charged me a $276 "smoking fee" which overdrafted my account. I called management & they said they houskerping said it "smelled like something", so they charged me for smoking, how is this legal? A housekeeper can say something about a guest & it's set in stone. The room smelled like hot hair you would smell at a salon. It’s an older hotel it’s clean and the staff is very friendly. This is not the most high-end area and we are enjoying our stay no issues.
Woke up with bed bug bites, desk lady at nice sounded uninterested to do her job and desk lady during the day was mean. Manager was decent put only gave me a 1/2 of my money back even tho I only stayed 1/4 nights booked. :/
It didn't get off to a good start. I had to wait at least a half hour just to check in because there was nobody at the front desk. Then I was given a key to 313 but the receipt said 315. The person said that they swapped rooms but couldn't change the electronic record because they didn't have permission. That seemed a bit shady. And the people in line right before me said that their key wouldn't work in 315, where they left their bags, but their key worked in 313... The whole building was a bit dirty and looked unkept.
