Tried taking my 7-year-old daughter here this morning after being recommended as a great place for children. It was her very first blood test and she was understandably nervous. As soon as we walked in, the pathologist (I believe her name was Gail, red hair) seemed completely uninterested in helping anyone who came through the door. I asked if they were able to see children, as another pathology clinic had advised they couldn’t do anyone under 12. Opening hours say 7am. This is incorrect.
I visited the QML Edward Street location today around 1:00 pm with my three-month-old baby. The staff member informed me that she was busy with paperwork and suggested that I go to another QML location near Betty’s Burgers, as the staff there “did not have any work.” I found this response very unprofessional and quite uncomfortable. Attending with a young baby can already be challenging, and the lack of empathy and willingness to assist made the experience even more difficult.
