I had a great experience today with Naomi. I arrived around 8:15am and there was lots of parking and no wait at all. I was very nervous as I have difficult veins and have fainted having blood taken before. Naomi was very professional and kind and took my blood while I lay down on the bed and chatted with me. She was able to get a vein and, apart from the initial prick, my experience was completely painless. I couldn't be more pleased!

The clinic was busy, however my experience raised concerns about attention to detail. The collector confused me with a prior patient and assumed she had asked about fasting and medications when she had not. During the first blood draw, I was not instructed to relax my clenched fist. The draw started, then failed and I later developed a significant delayed haematoma, consistent with vein injury or vein collapse. Tried to book Holter Monitor (QML website says they do). After calling multiple times over 3 days eventually someone answered, just to tell me they don't do them here.

Great experience - phlebotomist was willing to take the sample from back of my hand as I don't like exposing my inner elbow, and did a terrific job - didn't feel a thing and not even the slightest mark left by it. Didn't have to wait at all either. Thank you - much appreciated as someone with a severe aversion to blood tests :)
