Didn't hurt
Went in this morning for fasting bloods and cortisol. Receptionist didn’t provide any instructions or acknowledgment when I walked in so I took a number and sat down. As soon as I did he just looks at me and inclines his head up. Still doesn’t say anything so I hand him my form. Starts asking me for personal details in front of the rest of the waiting room like date of birth etc. Gets my name wrong and gets my gender wrong (even though my name was clearly written on both the pathology form and my Medicare card). Sarah was amazing at drawing blood from very difficult veins. I had two separate attempts at getting a blood test from another pathology and they couldn't find the vein on one visit, then when they did on the second, it collapsed because they could only use the vacuum syringe so no sample was taken. Sarah used the traditional syringe and hit the vein first time. It was a relief to end what was becoming a very stressful process.
Tried calling twice, straight to voicemail, left two messages and still no call back. Just as bad as the one in Redbank that don't even answer their phone and their "new" listed number isn't even connected. So annoying!!
After three weeks of blood tests and the prior two times trying to find a vein, the staff at Booval QML were thorough, considerate, professional and completed the procedure first time with absolutely no discomfort at all going in, while drawing the blood or coming out. For anyone that has experienced issues in the past or is tentative, the ladies at Booval QML are fantastic.
