Absolutely horrible experience I went in with a cardiac problems high blood pressure with a headache and blurred vision and was forced to wait longer then a person with a broken leg i fully understand the person I seen get in before me is friends with the hospital staff and favoritism is a regular occurrence at belleville hospital putting someone's life on hold so you can help your friend is very uneducated and potentially will one day kill someone waiting while staff do not check on patients needing help and belittle someon... read more

The ER staff were friendly, but the wait times are simply unacceptable. I can only imagine how many people have left with serious medical issues because after 10 or 12 hours, they couldn’t wait any longer. My recommendation is to get triaged, have your tests and then leave. Ask for them to be forwarded to your family doctor and call them the next day if at all possible.

I was left for 8 hours having my own pain meds wear off and put into dehydration. I left the hospital worse then I arrived. Asking for standard Advil or Tylenol and denied even after they knew I didn’t need surgery is ridiculous. Going in I knew I needed antibiotics as this is an issue I dealt with for 3 years. They knew I had mild hypothermia and ran a race on Sunday, they should not of let my system crash. I came into the ER August 31st having thought a cyst and ruptured. I thought I just needed antibiotics and I would be on my way. They listened to what I said, heard things I didn’t even mean to say and acted fast. I was given a CT scan that provided information that I would need immediate emergency surgery. Writhing 7 hours of being there I had multiple tests, scans and was being prepped for surgery. The care I received was fast, compassionate and dignified.
