I can’t recommend Carlie Sanford, RM, IBCLC enough! She was able to fit me in quickly and came to my home to provide Lactation consulting support to me and my newborn, which made a huge difference as a new mom. Carlie was knowledgeable, compassionate, and completely non-judgmental. She provided reassurance, validation, practical tips and tricks, as well as resources. I’ve been with qathet midwifery for 3 pregnancies now, a hospital birth with my oldest, a home birth with my second and hopefully another home birth with this current pregnancy. I’ve had great experiences with all the midwives I’ve interacted with. I really appreciate the professionalism and balanced perspective in their recommendations and care. Wonderful humans took care of me for my last two births, one at qathet hospital and one homebirth. So grateful we have strong and safe midwifery care in our community.
What a beautiful team of midwives. Although I'm giving a full 5 stars, my one issue was that the scheduling was frustrating, and I didn't find that there was a steady continuum of care with the same person. Very disappointing and ultimately dangerous “care”. Bad / zero communication about their rotation schedule, as well as misunderstanding basic physiology/psychology of birth and instead pushing epidurals and complicit in traumatic experiences.
