We loved our stay The amenities and service was great. We attended for the long lunch and would suggest the information staff knew about this event was sparse.
The location is amazing, with a beautiful small, intimate beach, great restaurant, the cafe is great too and the history of the place is amazing. The rooms however, are very basic and it's not an easy place to stay. From the time you arrive and have to wheel your case on rough bitumen to the reception area . No airconditioning is a deal breaker, I can't understand why the rooms can't have air con because of the heritage listing but the other common areas can. Lovely stay, staff super friendly.
Unfortunately it was a very wet and windy weekend, our stay was dampened by this but we came along anyway. The small dining room we were in was very wet but dinner was lovely even though there was no entree or dessert despite the amount we paid. The lighting in the rooms was too dull to get ready or even see in a mirror or read a book. The bathrooms were very clean and the beds were comfy but the balcony had electrical leads dangerously hanging out of the rotten timber beams. Beyond disappointed at the lack of understanding when requesting a refund/cancellation. My Daughter suffered a ruptured ovarian cyst approx day before check in. Distressing as it is with drs record hospital records etc but no refund allowed, absolutely unacceptable. Disgusting.
