Purple Tree Cafe is such a hidden gem! The atmosphere is calm and welcoming, the staff is incredibly kind, and everything on the menu is fresh and delicious. I especially loved the tea and vegan cookie — you can really taste the quality. It’s the perfect spot to relax, recharge, and support a community-focused cafe. I’ll definitely be coming back!
Had been meaning to stop by here sooner, it’s a peaceful break away from the main hospital noise. As a vegan I’m happy to find places that meet my needs. Jacob was wonderful and friendly. I had a tea and raspberry chocolate cookie. Looking forward to trying the scones next time!
Excuse the boring photo! This was a confusing spot to find, as we are just vegans who wanted a vegan spot to visit, not employees or patients at UC Davis hospital. We ended up parking at the nearby park and walking to the cafe, and walked around to the front of the building. It’s on the second floor.
