Overall, the studio is nice and welcoming. The teachers are generally good, and the classes themselves are well-structured and effective. It’s a positive space to work out, though the studio can feel a bit tight at times depending on the class size. That said, I would not recommend taking a class with Erika S. She provides very minimal demos, and when she does demonstrate, she doesn't complete the move and she's difficult to follow. I had such a great first experience at Pure Barre. Grace at the front desk was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and welcoming, she really took her time explaining everything about the class, packages, and how everything works, which made me feel so comfortable as a first timer. Julia, my instructor, was amazing and truly knows her stuff. When I told her I was new, she asked if I had any current injuries and made sure I felt supported throughout the class. Discriminatory staff members - policies are applicable to some students not all. I called ahead of the class to inform of train delays I reached 7 mins late to a class and the front desk staff wouldn’t allow me cause if policy which I understand but I was at the same class the previous day and 2 students were let in 15 and 20 mins after classes started. When I told him about it he said it was on those staff members what he would not let me in.
