I purchased a membership through Aetna Active & Fit and paid $168 for two months — and never got to attend a single class because the studio would not get my account activated. I submitted everything they asked for at my intro class on February 21st. What followed was two months of me chasing them down — calls on February 22nd, 27th, March 2nd, 6th, and 11th, emails on March 13th, 20th, 24th, and 30th. I genuinely enjoyed the Pure Barre classes themselves. The workouts were effective and challenging, and the instructors were great. However, good luck cancelling. After undergoing surgery, I attempted to cancel in early January, providing a doctor’s note. Despite that, I was still charged on January 22nd. I called, and they initially promised to refund that month. Still, I decided I wanted to fully cancel, so I followed up in email. I have been at this location for nearly five months. It was my first experience with Barre. I had done all the research, and I was ready—at least, I thought I was. I'm not new to working out, but let me tell you, this workout is unlike any other. My body burned in places I didn't even know could burn. I love every minute of it.
