Terrific catfish, clean no fishy taste. Extra crispy. Good Brisket , hot links, ribs, Polish sausage. Potato salad is good. Coleslaw is very fresh but it needs a bit more dressing it was a little dry. Good pickles on the pickle bar. Their fried green tomatoes were great. Deserts are great. Carrot Cake, key lime pie. Servers have been terrific and helpful. As to atmosphere it is clean and they clean the tables and sweep under them. It has a Barbecue place vibe, but their purpose is food not flash. Honestly some things I liked and some things I didn't. I tried the breaded brussel spouts...no good..fried green tomatoes..no good. Baked potatoes..good...shrimp ..good...catfish good.. pickle bar..not good..hush puppies..good. so....over all more good than bad.
Punkin's is one of our favorite places to stop when we're on the road. Awesome bbq, and the catfish is great!
