Had been here late evening once The buffet service is nice and totally worth the money A mix of vegetarian as well as non vegetarian dishes The only thing missing was an Indian dessert The quality of food was just like it is back home in India 😃

Had weekend buffet lunch from punjab cafe. They had rice, aloo gopi, Chana masala, rice roti, spicy potato dish for vegetarians. Above this they had chicken curry, goat curry, barbecue grill chicken, chicken masala. A sweet was provided.

This is the place for enjoying the unlimited buffet. All you can get for $7+tax. North Indian food that is good and cheap. Chicken curry. Paneer masala. Chicken tandoori. Chicken biriyani. Lamb curry. Just binge on.

Finally after searching in and out of San Jose, i found this as one of the best Indian restaurants that you can find over there.. I ordered Thali which said a gravy ,dal ,roti , rice and raita.. Assuming the thali to be a typical indian thali where gravy and dal comes in small bowls .. I ordered the food and to by surprise.. The gravy and dal were in such proportion that more than 2 ppl can have it .. Food was waste little bit because of my wrong proportion but was really worth of the money and was delicious . This restaurant is the best Indian restaurant in Downtown San Jose. They are famous for their lunch and dinner buffets. As far as I know, only this restaurant offers a dinner buffet around downtown. The location is also convenient to reach but its a little tricky to spot the place. I have had Al Carte and buffet here. I prefer Al carte as the taste better. This is one reasonably priced good indian outlet in sanjose. The items on the buffet spread were few. But whatever they had were tasty and fulfilling.

I consider this place as the best for Indian food in downtown San Jose. it works for me. It is casual. Not too expensive. Has buffet. Owned, managed and run by an Indian/ Punjabi Chef. Food is good.
