Answered the phone unprofessionally with just a “hello”. Although this business advertises Palms the man answering the phone didn’t even know what a Christmas Palm was. He asked me for another name for it and while I was looking it up on my phone he said,” I’m sure we don’t have any”. Mind you this was before I even gave him the formal name. He was not very knowledgeable of palms and didn’t even attempt to suggest any palms that he had available. I would give this business a zero if I could.
The Pungo Palms owner is very knowledgeable about growing palms in this area which is beneficial to anyone who has had a low success rate with palms in the Virginia Beach area. He knows what types of palms should be planted and generally where you should be planting them in your landscape to make them thrive. I spoke with him over the phone a little while back and I am looking forward to purchasing Sabal Minor specimens and possibly a Windmill palm this coming spring.
