Pulse was the first club I ever went to when I was 18. The best first experience ever where everyone was having fun, no one judged, I felt safe to be myself, and enjoyed every visit I had after that. And boy, was the Drag Show fun! It felt like a sanctuary not just for the LGBT community, but for everyone. My first ever club experience and it was one I will never forget, the music, the performers, the bartender. The atmosphere was loving and energetic.

Pulse was not only the first gay club I ever been to but it was the first club I had ever been to, 7 years ago. It has a special place in my heart and so many memories I made there. This tragedy makes me sad to think that something so horrible can happen somewhere that was a place of love and acceptance.
