Great route, good vibe, friendly staff. But the belay device used for top rope climbing ruins the experience. Safe belaying should be about technique, not brute strength. The quality/age of rope differs climb to climb and with some of them the rope feels far too thick for the belay device- I’m using all my strength to pull it through! Yes, a climbing gym needs thicker rope than outdoor climbing, but then you need a belay device that is made for this!

Great route setting, 5 out of 5 stars. Has bouldering area, training area, kilter and moonboard, no lead climbing. The main problem is the belay device. I think it’s a Mammut smart 2.0 belay device used. This is a horrible belay device and it’s even worse with thicker gym ropes. If this would have been the first gym I ever climbed I would have been put off climbing forever!
