I would not recommend this pulmonologist to anyone! Not only did my father pass away HE SUFFERED. My father was battling end stage fibrosis, lung cancer and was in heart failure. Dr hernandez was only interested in weening him down to 5% oxygen and sending him home. My father was suffocating. Struggling more and more each time they attempted to lower his oxygen. I would not in a million years recommend this doctor. He was my father's pulmonologist and it was a truly traumatic experience. We asked this doctor for weeks about my dad's health and how he was doing, how long he could have to live, etc. He would never be direct about his answers knowing my dad was in his last days. He lied to our face multiple times saying my dad could improve and possibly get a lung transplant in the future knowing my dad had end stage fibrosis, lung cancer, and a heart problem that would not make him a ... read more

Saw this Dr in hospital. He is always in a rush. I was told on discharge to see him within 5 days, could not get a appt for a month. Honestly why I just didn't find another pulmonary Dr. Is my fault. He just sees you says all good when it's not. And see ya! Ended up seeing a ID Dr and diagnosed with a bacterial lung infection he never treated properly. I got put on IV antibiotics for a month with ID Dr. I had a follow-up appt with this Dr, got there and waiting room packed told he's behind so no idea how long I have to wait!... read more
