I moved all my belongings out of my storage unit on the 1st of the month. Right as I was calling to notify them, I was charged for the full month. When I asked about a refund or pro-rating, I was told, “we don’t pro-rate”, even though I WAS pro-rated when I first moved in. That inconsistency and lack of flexibility really disappointed me. They didn’t verify who they were renting units too, and rented to thieves using fake IDs who got access to the building and burglarized my unit. Then they don’t file any incident report or take any photos so that I am struggling to file my insurance claims. I call every day trying to talk to someone, and nobody answers. The people at the desk just say they don’t know how anything works and tell me to call the number that never answers and never returns calls. Pretty terrible organization and business practices.
