We live moved in next to the pub, about 4-5 houses away. We'd love to make this a regular place we give business to. BUT- we have now visited 5 times in a month and had more bad service than good. Ordred sodas for the kids several times they had to be sent back for a strong chemical taste... Goofed up orders and wrong bills, hamburgers tasted funky, and the final straw last night.... My husband and I went here for an early dinner. The place looked super cute on the outside, and was clean on the inside. My husband ordered the “pizza cheese steak” and I ordered the grilled chicken and “rabe” sandwich. The sandwiches were good – we felt that the ingredients were simple and predictable, but good. But we were pleasantly surprised by the “pub chips” which were actually closer to French fries. They were amazing!!
Nice neighborhood bar Macungie pub is a great neighborhood pub. I wouldn't drive from the other end of town to hang out there. However, when I am in the area I definetly go there. Service is good, prices as great too. It's just a bit of a drive for me. If I lived closer I would go there all the time.
