Very slow company to handle claims and when they do they low ball the payouts worse than any company I have dealt with to date. I do not recommend.

So the folks @ Rural Mutual Insurance Company decided it was in their best interest to hire an "independent Dr" a month before scheduled surgery and have him claim that I had suffered only soft tissue damage from my work accident. This "professional" admitted that he didn't even look at the surgeons diagnosis or any of the MRI images before spending a whole 3 minutes evaluating my injuries. During the surgery, the surgeon actually found more tearing in my rotator cuff than he expected, and more than the MRI showed. In their ... read more

I was hired by this company 6 months ago pending 4 licenses. All licensing has been completed. I was excited to start my new career. I reached out to the company to find out the district manager has moved on and the new manager has chosen not to hire me. I wasted 6 months of my life for this company. Don't make the same mistake I did by trusting this company. A person/company is only as good as their word.

I had rural mutual insurance through Thong Xiong in Wausau, up until they decided to double charge me last month, Upon canceling my insurance through them last monday (11/11/19) they have tried twice to pull money out of my account even though I have canceled my services with them. I cannot speak for the other agents, nor do I know if this is a common theme, but STAY AWAY from Xiongs practice. skeevy as hell. Will be filing a report with the BBB.
