I was stewing on this a bit. Firstly, I have ADHD so going through every motion of finding someone to talk to is torture. Second, I'm hoping to work on my avoidant attachment. Funny how a poor first impression makes me give up entirely on this place. So I'm giving 3 stars just to vent, since I might be a unique case and also real people are affected. I have been seeing Julie Espinoza-Malm for about a year now for borderline personality disorder and depression and have been able to make immense progress thanks to her help. I like how I am taught how to deal with problems and my emotions rather than only being told how to deal with a specific problem that I have going on at that moment. It's like being taught how to fish rather than being given a fish. Well. I had a great experience up until recently when an unexpected death occurred of a close friends mother. I had to cancel the appointment the day of and got charged the whole visit. It’s crazy that I can’t predict someone would die at 10 pm the night before but alas... I can’t. I’ve been to many therapists. I have to say this is the worst I have ever been treated in regards to legitimate excuses for canceling an appointment. And I work in healthcare. I will not be returning.
