Dr. Jocelyn Abrams didn't really exceed our expectations. My therapist referred my husband to this practice and we went with Jocelyn. My husband had to leave the 1 hour session because he didn't feel comfortable or that it was a safe space. He said she seems overwhelmed and when he talked about intrusive thoughts she replied back with why are you thinking them? At the time when I called and found out that Jocelyn Abrams PHd therapist had a last minute cancellation, I thought it was a blessing. Unfortunately we were not a good match and I left early as I was unable to feel safe with this therapist. I am sure Dr. Abrams is not bad for less complex PTSD cases but if you are like me with lots of comorbidities I would look for a therapist that isn't also busy being a associate college professor.
Terrible facility. First of all, their intake documents threaten to take you to court before you’re even a patient. No, thanks. That lack of respect and audacity before you meet someone is on a level of absurdity that would never want me to trust these people with details of my life or pay cash ONLY for their services.
