I am a Bloom Health Center patient and recently moved to Virginia from Columbia. I absolutely LOVE DR. ASHAI and she is so damn good. She will push you a little and will pull back when you both need it and kindly ask for it. I just think so highly of her and I started with her in my 30s. Just so solid. More, the staff is awesome and understanding. They are absolutely part of the service and are an extension of the medical providers in how they communicate with you.
I had a very disappointing experience with this psychiatrist. She consistently failed to respond to urgent messages through the patient portal, even during times of crisis. My brother was under her care and was unfortunately misdiagnosed. Rather than taking the time to understand his symptoms and emotional state, she prescribed medications that ultimately worsened his depression and anxiety. Would give 0 stars if possible, when having issues with medication she would not return any calls, answered and hung up a few times unprompted as well. Severely unreliable as a psychiatrist, would not recommend to anyone
I absolutely love my doctor Dr Riffat S Ashai. She absolutely listens to me. Gives me the correct medicine that helps me with my mood swings. I am doing great. So grateful!!
I wish I could give this doctor no stars. Was referred to her when my primary care physician's office stopped filling prescriptions for psych meds. I'd been diagnosed with severe ADHD by a psychologist almost a decade prior (actually a rediagnosis, as I was diagnosed but untreated as a child).
