First, I have to quantify this by disclosing that I have never left a single review online. In general, I feel like if I'm not going to leave positive reviews I also shouldn't leave negative reviews, but my experience here was so poor that I feel compelled. I've had two wheelsets built by ProWheelBuilder. No issues with the first after a few thousand miles. On the second I made a mistake with my order for the rear hub, which I belatedly realized later, but before the wheelset was shipped. I was worried they wouldn't be willing to make any changes (or would only do so at a high cost), but it turned out they were very patient and responsive, and even changed the hub over at no charge! Big thanks to ProWheelBuilder.
Great wheelbuilder, being a bigger guy I was having trouble with a wheelset that supposedly could handle 265lbs after having to true and tension spokes a couple times I reached out to PWB for a set of wheels that could handle a bigger rider. Shipping was right on par with what was quoted and I ended up with a great wheelset at an affordable price. Im looking forward to putting in lots of trouble free miles on my new wheels. Richard built me a set of the #prowheelbuilder tubeless wheels for CX last season. I was very hesitant to go tubeless, but the wheels performed amazing and required no maintenance at all. I can’t wait for his carbon tubeless wheels. I’ll never go anywhere else for wheels.
