Through the front oak double doors awaits a setting filled with beautiful stained glass, ethnic curios and murals depicting Italian neighborhoods. Dim lights and roses add to the romantic ambiance. Antipasti (appetizers) consist of such items as fried, breaded artichoke hearts and calamari. For dinner, numerous pastas, combination dinners and seafood selections are provided. A tasty bowl of salad and unbelievably delicious garlic butter rolls accompany every entree. Italian beer and wine provide the ideal accompaniment to th... read more

What bad Tex-Mex is to real Mexican food, Provino's is to Italian – I am not a fan of the Olive Garden but I swear to you that had we gone to the Olive Garden it would have been more authentic AND cheaper. This is like a 1970's Middle-America idea of Italian food that tastes like TV-dinners, My chicken breast had been done in a deep fryer and was inexplicably served on a salad plate floating in, not sauce, but what appeared to be a very liquidy, beef and mushroom soup. Worst meal I have ever spent over $45 dollars on in my l... read more
Decent – This place isnt bad. They do give you free or $11 off your entree on your birthday with ID, as another reviewer mentioned. Service can be slow at times, but is mostly average. I have had to wait to be seated, but not longer than 5-10 minutes. Their breadsticks are amazing, and drenched with butter and garlic, and the salad is very good too. Other than being slow, I dont have any complaints.
Nice food and service – My husband and I always enjoy Provino's. We try to get there by 6 p.m. to minimize the wait. He usually has shrimp scampi and a couple of Italian beers, and I usually have the snapper in lemon sauce. We both enjoy the bread, and he really loves the salad. Can't say I care for salads as much as him, but this one is fine. If you go on your birthday, you save $11 off your entree with your drivers license as proof. Waitresses and waiters have always been attentive and well mannered.
Worst customer service anywhere – I love Italian food. But I also enjoy it more when the service is as good as the food. I have been there three times. Not only was the wait to get seated long, but also the wait for service was horrendous. Our last time, we were there in November. We were seated in an out of the way corner of the restaurant that was extremely drafty. Our waiter was rarely seen, got orders wrong twice, and disappeared forever (save to bring the check) once the entrees were served. Aside from the drafty seatin... read more
Fabulous Garlic Rolls, Great Salad, Poor Entrees – Go to Provino's, only for the garlic rolls and salad. The bread is the real draw; if you love bread dripping with butter and garlic, then this is your Garden of Eden. You must get there at around 5 p.m. to avoid a long wait. Provino's fills up ridiculously early, and many go before heading to the ultra-popular nearby movie theater. The entrees are not good. Anyone who says otherwise: a) has poor taste; or b) (more likely) is still in a residual state of euphoria from the gar... read more
Great Ambience, Good food – Great local spot, so the wait can be long, but well worth it.
italian here – only decent italian restaurant in town unless you are looking for pizza. A bit over priced and sometimes you have to wait to get in
GOOD REPUTATION - LOUSY FOOD – WHEN WE FIRST WENT TO THIS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED RESTAURANT, WE DID WHAT WE ALWAYS DO. WE ORDERED WHAT THEY PERCEIVED AS THE BEST 2 THINGS ON THE MENU. IT WAS SO BAD WE LEFT IT AT THE RESTAURANT. OFTEN THINGS CAN BE DOCTORED TO BE EDIBLE. NOT THIS. KNOWING THAT ANYONE CAN HAVE A BAD NIGHT, WE TRIED IT AGAIN. THIS TIME WE ORDERED OTHER RECOMMENDED DISHES. AGAIN WE LEFT THE LESS THAN MEDIOCRE FOOD. WE HAVE SINCE VISITED THE RESTAURANT 2 MORE TIMES. WE WOULD NOT HAVE GONE, BUT WERE WITH OTHERS THAT W... read more
