NSRDDA's stated mandate is to act on behalf of the public in NS so dentists and dental hygienists are regulated to ensure professional conduct. NSRDDA are run by dentists so the potential for conflicts of interest are real when complaints against NS dentists are sent to NSRDDA for resolution.
