No one wants to visit the ER while on vacation, but the nurses and staff here made the best of a bad situation. I was seen quickly and received excellent care. The nurses were friendly and knowledgeable and made sure I was comfortable and well cared for.

I fell coming down the trail from Marmot meadows at exit glacier. I fell pretty hard and my hand was broken. I had to walk one more mile until we could reach the car and from there the Welcome Center directed us to the emergency center in Seward at Providence. It was a displaced fracture in my 2nd metacarpal. Every single person who works at Providence seward was kind, professional, and thorough. I have never had a better emergency experience in my life. The nurses were careing, competent and compassionate. They went above and beyond the medically necessary procedures to make sure I was comfortable and safe. When it was evedent that I could not drive safely until I got sleep they provided a bed and one of them went to Safeway to pick up meds.

Small hospital but great staff. Some have worked in hospitals in large cities and has plenty of experience. Wife was getting sick. Dr. & nurse, etc were very efficient & thorough as well as friendly. We had been on a cruise ship, so they did throat & nose swabs, too b.p. etc. Wife had bad cold, no virus, covid etc. Told us what to get at drug store from pharmacy. Very thankful for their help & kindness.
