I went to Providence Saint John’s ER on June 19 in severe pain with visible hair splinters embedded in my feet, hands, and face. I told Nurse Practitioner Marcie Hulpa my symptoms clearly and even showed physical evidence. She stood 2–3 feet away, barely looked, and diagnosed me with a vague “skin rash.” That was it. No proper exam. No tools. No imaging. No serious attention. I was in real pain, could barely walk, and left untreated and humiliated. I was worried to go to the ER at 9pm since the night is the busiest time for ERs usually but the waiting room here seemed mostly empty. I got seen pretty quick and the doctors and nurses here were so kind to me. I remember the names Ryan, Marcie and Vanessa, they were really nice! I’m not sure about all the bad reviews here because I had a pleasant experience. The wait was a bit long, I got here at 9pm and was discharged at 1am but I think there may just be a shortage of staff, the test results only took an hour to get back.... read more
Horrific Parking ! They won’t let you drop off or pick up directly infront of the ER entrance unless you’re doing VALET Non Disability Compliance!! Security violently dumps transients that can’t walk on the sidewalk almost every night and will try to punch you if they catch you recording them! Sadly that’s Normal for most ER’s in America
