Every time we've had an emergency, we come here, and its always the same experience. Checked in, vitals, then WAIT. For hours and hours and hours. You wait for a system clogged up by inefficiency and drugged out homeless people who the staff know by name. In the cold months, the homeless will check in despite not having any symptoms just because they know they will get the sleep in the warm lobby for 8 hours before anyone even acknowledges them. Thank you for treating me with dignity and immediate care. I was transferred here from the Spokane Valley ER Multicare Hospital where I was hemorrhaging from a tonsillectomy complication. The Spokane Valley ER left me hemorrhaging in their waiting room for over 2 hours then another 1.5 hours in their hospital bed and completely disregarded the fact I was vomiting clots and swallowing 0.5+ liters of blood (and that’s just what sacred heart pumped out). IF YOU HAVE HEART ATTACK SYMPTOMS DO NOT GO HERE Nurse Katie K RN was dismissive and rude, barely communicative or attentive to concerns, and had the most lack of empathy I have have ever seen in healthcare.
