I like these people, mostly. However, like most US pseudo-monopolies, expect to feel small here. The workers didn’t make their industry cut-throat, but having a grifting industry makes them calloused. I’ve been seeing the same primary care provider since 2022. Yesterday I was on time and present in the office for 1 1/2 hours for an extended physical. She spent 8 minutes with me. I correct my medication and allergy lists before every visit, including this visit l. My after visit summary still shows the wrong information and a new drug was added to the visit notes that I have never taken.

I agree with others that it is very expensive. With my insurance I end up paying $100-200 per visit regardless of the visit. Sadly that is just the nature of American healthcare. The health care team is pretty good though, and are reliable. They obviously try hard to be helpful and I would understand if they get tired of helping when there are too many difficult patients.

Before scheduling, I was given an estimate of what the visit was going to cost, then was charged 5 times that. The visit entailed someone spending maybe 12 minutes asking questions then a quick search on google to print off 3 exercises (exercises I was charged an EXTRA $100 for according to my bill). I would have gotten more from 12 minutes spe... read more
