The best emergency room I have experienced. All of the staff were efficient and extremely responsive to my needs. The physicians that helped were knowledgeable and kind. I donate funds every year because the hospital is such an important part of our community.

Absolutely horrible experience. I waited over FOUR HOURS in the emergency room while pregnant and experiencing bleeding, terrified that I could be having a miscarriage. They performed blood tests and an ultrasound, but I never even got to speak with a doctor. Nobody could give me any answers or explain what was happening with my pregnancy. From the ER to the neurology floor that I stayed on overnight, I received first rate attentive care. I thought the communication while I was in the ER was excellent. I felt I was respectfully listened to for my whole visit. And I thought the nursing staff on the neurology floor were all angels from heaven. I came into the hospital thinking I had a stroke, but I left educated on the precursor of a stroke, a TIA. I am so grateful to get a second chance at life through the top notch care at Providence St. Joseph Medical Center.

It was such a terrible experience for me until a friend showed up to advocate on my behalf. I came in on the ambulance and they didn’t take heed to what I told them and told the hospital I was having a panic attack, which was so far from the truth. They left me alone in a space that was close to the nurses station but too far for them to hear me. My minor child had to call which finally got me in a bed- where I was left at the end of the hallway yelling for help stuck in the bed vomitting on myself for 2 hours until my frien... read more
