This is the obamacare of vehicle warranties. The wording is such that the warranty covers quite a bit until you dive into the whats not covered list which turns out to be much longer of a list. Paid for extended warranty and any claim ever tried to file conveniently is always not covered.
When i bought my 2021 Toyota Supra i also purchased this service contract for piece of mind. Within 2 months of ownership i had the car dropped off at Toyota for a issue. I was still covered under Toyotas factory powertrain warranty but was told sensors dont fall under that and i would have to pay for them. I gave them my Protective contract information and claims were handled same day. 2 claims were made one week apart and both were approved same day. I just paid my deductible and that was it. Wish I could give a zero. I bought a vehicle that came with a lifetime powertrain warranty. I have had the run around for 2 weeks now about not having a cabin air filter replaced to warrant my engine. Worst experience I have ever had with a warranty company. Every-time I have called I got a new person who made me wait for them to review and give me different information than the previous person.
