WARNING! Brought vehicle in for oil leak. Told it was from oil stand and valve cover, gaskets were replaced. Was charged $1600.00, mostly for labor costs. After a couple of days I noticed same amount of oil leaking from the same spot. I had monitored and marked where the oil was leaking prior to taking the vehicle in. My car was acting funny and I took it there to see what was wrong. The manager, Matt was super helpful and friendly. I got my car back working good as new, clean and now I have no more problems.

Last month while on my way to work, my car started running extremely rough, so I took my car to Protect-A-Car to have them diagnose & repair the problem. I was told I had a vacuum leak, needed new spark plugs & thermostat. I was charged $1600 for the repair work, but when I picked up my car, it was still running as rough as when I took it in because they said they didn't fix the vacuum leak. I started hearing clicking when I would start my car and immediately brought it in to the shop thinking it was the alternator or the battery. Little did I know I was going to pay the outrageous amount I did. Just to "diagnose" the problem, they charged me $67.50. The last two shops I've been to in the past year didn't charge me a thing to "diagnose" any problem. I am so disappointed that I don't even have words to describe. I went to this place to get service and front brakes done on my BMW 750. The manager James was the guy I dealt with. I left the car there they did the service he called me and told me I also need alignment, I told him do whatever is needed. Well I spent almost $1000 ($990.40). My wife went there to pick up the car. Highly suggest going somewhere else. I don't write bad reviews, but all that changes with what happened today. BEWARE: The manager, James Nixon, is undeniably the lowest of the low. My wife went to take her care near her place of work for a state inspection and an oil change. She was told that the oil change would be $15. We were charged $54 for the oil change. Total Scam. Charged 850 for a 450 Transmission job. Charged triple the cost of synthetic oil that was at O'Reilly two doors down. Charged $75.00 for a $15.00 filter. Charged 80.00 for a 20.00 bottle of gear oil and charged $35.00 for supplies??. They charge $108 per hour for crap work. And I fell certain that they did not do the job at all. DO NOT GO HERE!!!! BETTER OFF PAYING MORE AT THE DEALERSHIP!!! We took our car in to get a bolt cut off, and a belt put on, and a day after we got the car back the oil light turned on and the check engine light came on. We didn't tell them to touch anything else, but they took it upon thereselves to "check" the oil. They drained our oil, and did who knows what else to make us come back. These people are SO SHADY!!!! Shady mechanics – we took our car to Protect a car because the brakes were acting funny. I thought it was the brake pads but they diagnosed it as a different problem. A $600 problem. So they "fixed" it and a week later it started smoking. Took it back, they said there was another problem in the same area. When they "fixed" it the first time why did they not see it?
