Rachel runs an absolutely amazing salon. She is not only extremely talented but also kind, inclusive, friendly, and supportive. During the early stages of my transition, I worried about finding a salon where I would be welcomed for who I am. When I walked into Proper Salon, all of those worries instantly evaporated. I had such an affirming and inspiring experience and I cannot recommend her highly enough.
I’ve been going to Rachel for the last 10 years. I think that is a true testament to how much I appreciate her ability in treating a client right. Not only is she skilled but is also thoughtful, and caters to your vision. Having said that, she has the right balance and approach in giving you her professional feedback as needed and/or solicited. I’ve been very pleased. Thanks girl! Cheers to another 10 years!
Rachel was awesome!! She's very considerate of the atmosphere/vibes and caters the experience to you. She was great at helping me identify what cuts would work best for my hair and she showed me how to style my hair at home. I felt listened to and cared for, and the whole vibe was inclusive and nonjudgmental. Plus my hair looks sick as hell!! Can't recommend her enough
