Do better, Pronto. As a not-for-profit organisation that receives government funding specifically to support our community, you disappointed me. During my appointment, I explained that I am currently unemployed and could not afford to pay for the consultation. I have been a patient with Pronto for eight years and have always previously been bulk billed. Amazing staff and very easy to book and get results
Came here after I had some Unsafe you know what at Kittens Melbourne… Unfortunately I have HIV
This service as its currently structured seems like a waste of government HIV funding - there's not much point in "rapid" testing if you need to book it days in advance...the turnaround for a full pathology test from the GP is basically 2-3 days already so beyond that point it's useless...the whole idea of rapid testing, and the way I've seen it handled properly elsewhere, is that you should just be able to walk in, and even if you need to wait a while, you get the test and results that day. Cant speak more highly of my experience here. I went for an screening and felt very looked after and cared for by the nursing staff and reception. Super inclusive and genuine.
