This service as its currently structured seems like a waste of government HIV funding - there's not much point in "rapid" testing if you need to book it days in advance...the turnaround for a full pathology test from the GP is basically 2-3 days already so beyond that point it's useless...the whole idea of rapid testing, and the way I've seen it handled properly elsewhere, is that you should just be able to walk in, and even if you need to wait a while, you get the test and results that day. Cant speak more highly of my experience here. I went for an screening and felt very looked after and cared for by the nursing staff and reception. Super inclusive and genuine.
I love that they are LGBTQIA+ friendly I am a regular at this clinic as I cannot keep it in my pants so far I’ve accumulated HIV and HSV2 but that’s all for now
My appointments was never on time even when I arrive punctually each time. The appointment start time is always 10-15 mins late. Recently I had to wait for 20 mins to get called in. Again, I arrived on time, but the doctor took someone in at the time when it's supposed to be my start time. AND, that person was late for his appoinment, I checked in first. What's more, the doctor cancelled bulk billing for my appointment, and I guess it's because I pointed out that he should keep an eye on the time. It is not fair my punctuali... read more
