Unhappy with care provided by initial male rheumatologist that I was assigned to (many things undocumented and not actually checked, as well as much misinformation given). When calling to switch to one of the females in the department due to being uncomfortable with the care (or lack there of) provided by the initial male rheumatologist assigned, I was apprised that it’s their policy that you’re unable to switch providers internally, even if it has to do with issues with the provider’s care. Started with a different rheumatologist that left the department and ended with Dr. Mustafa. Care with him was frustrating. He never listened and asked me what to prescribe. It was a joke. Medication brought no relief after multiple changes. I asked to be switched to a different rheumatologist and my primary referred me to Dr. Mustafa, again. It’s like you don’t listen to the patient at all. You just bill us and insurance.

Priya Shendge is a rude woman who gaslights you into saying you have fibromyalgia and absolutely no other signs of autoimmune. I am going to get a second opinion and follow up with a genuine diagnosis and hopefully get the help I need. The medicine she wanted to prescribe me to help with my pain was Cymbalta. It is the worst withdrawal ever and I am downright suffering when the Cymbalta already wasn’t helping in the first place just making me a zombie. The doctor documented an inaccurate history and didn't include symptoms that I had reported. He asked me leading questions to fit me into an obscure, BS fibro diagnosis, while conveniently leaving out other symptoms I had reported. Avoid.
