I went to outpatient hospital to have eye surgery. In the reception area I was told I had to pay $1300 before they would do the procedure. I have insurance. I said do I have to pay this now? She said yes. I ask two more times. She said yes. She should had said no. That is an optional request by the hospital. She should have allowed it to go through my insurance first.

DON'T BOTHER GOING TO ANY OF THESE DOCTORS! The office is terrible and the staff is completely incompetent. I just got home from my appointment that was cancelled without my knowledge and rescheduled for a completely random day and time that doesn't work. Had they bothered to contact me and speak with me to reschedule they would have known that. And the best part is my doctor was still there. But he couldn't see me because he had to leave. I had a nasty visit to Flower Hospital's ER on July 26 2013 at 4 am. I wear an indwelling urinary catheter. It became dislodged by accident. The catheter was no longer functioning. The doctor on duty refused to help me, and told me to see my urologist the next day. I insisted the catheter was not working. So, he called secuity to throw me out. I was charged $1100.00 for this insult.

Do not waste your time with the ER. Go somewhere else. I brought in a family member who was out of control with mental health issues, They basically laughed at him. He was manic, not able to function or take care of himself. They never called the Dr. who was 'on call' for mental health. These people are small town hillbillies who don't understand anything other than broken bones. We paid hundreds of $$ out of pocket. WASTE OF TIME GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Quality Care; Lack of Compassion – I prefer Flower hospital over all of the other Toledo hospitals for better quality medical care. However, the doctors and nurses are less friendly and they treat you like you are not a person. If you can tolerate being patronized or dehumanized, I would recommend the Flower Hospital for quality care.

I would it send my dogs here – .Flower hospital was a nightmere for four days of bad treatment this place left a bad taste in my mouth.

Quality Care w/great follow-up – As a long time patient of Dr. Hacker @ Alexis Medical Center I have received care beyond expectations. Dr Hacker takes the time to listen and the staff is friendly, accurate and helpful. Special thanks to Heidi for follow-up. On site lab draws is a plus, saving time and miles. I especially enjoy the timely return of forms necessary for the disabled. Five Stars from me. Randy

Best emergency dept. in Ohio. Prompt service. Friendly, knowlegble physicians. – I have been to almost every emergency room in and around Toledo. Flower Hospital is by far the best. Unlike other ERs, we hardly had to wait to be seen. The doctor was wonderful. He was kind and knew exactly what I needed. I will only use the Flower Hospital emergency dept. in the future.
