My Dad had a long stay in St. Bernard's in Jonesboro recently and it was already arranged to have him brought back home via ambulance. He was weak from all of the procedures and the illness he had and the staff at St. Bernard's said the ambulance would take him home once he was released. Well, I don't think he knew he would have to wait over 4 hours from the time of his release! We were parked behind one of their units at the nursing home waiting on them to transport a person to the hospital. We didn't mind waiting as my spouse had to have assistance from the nursing home personnel to get back in,but I'm certainly glad it wasn't one of my family that had to have the ambulance because of the young mans expression on his face when he came out of the side door and walked around the back to the drivers side!
