If you get sick (inclusive of with COVID-19) you’d be forced to use any vacation time up and go unpaid thereafter. No maternity leave. I‘ve seen situations where someone was laid off for as short as a 2 week gap between a set of contracts. You’d expect more loyalty to be given to the employees. I recall during the ~2019 shutdown. The fed’l gov’t funded a PSS contract during the shutdown so that they could pay and take care of their employees and/or provide back pay. These folks really came through for me; when I needed work it was there and available. Even during the 'pandemic,' the company was still going strong with their developed business relationships. This allowed me to support my family if one contract didn't work out with a given set of government types. If you can pull yourself up by your bootstraps, this is the place for you.
