Do not give this guy your address before making an appointment . Called for a chimney sweep quote. Like an idiot I first gave my address. After the quote I said I would talk to my husband and call back if I was going to make an appointment. He showed up at my house that day after 5pm. Said he was in the area. Ok. Never made an appointment with you. And don't just show up at my house. I could have been alone. Maybe didn't have the money yet. Isn't that what appointments are for? Who does that. Went on a weekday, early afternoon. Shop was locked up tight with no hours posted on storefront. Whomever needs this store, may I suggest you call first so you don't waste a trip like we did. Perhaps they're only open in fall and winter, but it sure would be nice if hours were posted somewhere.

After a 30 day run-around about how we still didn't have our logs I called our credit card to cancel the charge. The charge was removed. It was contested saying that we DID receive the logs!!! The charge was placed back. After our written complaint to the credit card company the charge was removed. We were trying to buy local but wish we had read the reviews first.

2 months ago I had my chimney cleaned and they were quick and efficient in getting the job done. While working they let me know that my chimney needing repairing and gave me an estimate at no charge. I told them I would think about it. Yesterday I finally called to ask about having the repairs done and they came out that same day. Today he came out and finished the job. I called to figure out why our gas insert would not come on. After attempting to troubleshoot over the phone, he came out within 20 minutes of my call and fixed my fireplace in 15 minutes. (AND ONLY CHARGED ME $50!) Where do you ever see a professional on a same day call charge you $50? Super nice, extremely knowledgeable. Even offered to look in his scrap pile for a log that might fit the one missing in our fireplace and bring it by. Do not believe the bad reviews.
