It is 2 years from today since Professor Stern and his team at RPA performed an excision and skin graft on a scc on my left shin.I have poor circulation and Dr Stern acknowledged that my healing would be slower but he said the graft would heal. In January he was spot on the wound had healed and was able to recommence pool walking. Thank you Prof and your registrar Dr Moore whose expertise and care made me a very happy man. I had a (TRAM flap) breast reconstruction with Dr Stern going back 14 years ago now. What prompted me to write a review is that I have a mammogram on my other breast every year, and almost without fail the technician will comment on how it’s the best job they’ve ever seen. Yesterday the technician said you wouldn’t even know it was a reconstruction except for the (now quite faded) scar (which was made by the initial breast surgeon, not Dr. Stern). Prof Stern has done an amazing job on a very complicated reconstruction. He is the best and I’ve put my 100% trust in him. I’m very happy with the results and other health professionals have asked me ‘which doctor this amazing job’?
Can’t tell you anything about the Dr himself, his receptionist on the other hand, do very rude and so very unprofessional.
If you are recommended to this surgeon I would highly suggest you do extensive research before selection. Is this the right person for ME and MY needs! If you are looking for someone who is extremely arrogant, has a poor bedside manner, who lacks empathy and aftercare then you have found yourself the perfect surgeon.
