I would give zero stars if it was an option. Privia doesn't not know how to bill claims or submit claims to insurance. I provided all of my insurance information only to get a bill two days after my appointment because they didn't bill it to my insurance even though I see my insurance card in their patient portal. When I called , it took the billing report 15 minutes to take my insurance information and said allow 7 days for it to be reviewed. I am a medical biller myself and can verify coverage in minutes!
If you are looking for a third party to ruin your relationship with your provider and degrade your medical experience, look no further. I used to email my neurologist Rueben Cintron directly. Now everything has to go through Privia's [EXPLETIVE] portal. Note to health care management networks: you don't know squat about information technology. I tried using portals when they first came out and they were terrible. I decided to try Privia's because I wanted my test results before my appointment. The portal didn't work. Want to know why peoples blood pressure is so high?
Stay away from provider that use Privia Medical group. The payments do not get sent to the doctors but rather to an overall medical group. Without your knowledge, they transfer money from one provider to another. The phone support is terrible as you can't get through waited on hold for 45 minutes without any indication of how long the hold will be. When you talk to the actual provider they can't help you because they didn't receive the payment and they didn't send the bill even though the providers name is on the check.
They used to be good, but ever since covid started, it takes over two hours to get through to talk to an actual person.
