Very slow! We scheduled an outpatient MRI. Appointment was for 7:30 am. Told us to arrive by 7 to get ready. Arrived at 7:05. No one was in ER waiting or outpatient waiting room. Had already done the e-check in online. Getting ready consisted of sitting it waiting room. At 7:40 (10 minutes after appointment) they called and said they were coming to get my son and asked if he needed to use bathroom. At 7:50 they had still not come to get him. Received great care and very quick treatment from the Emergency Room for a laceration needing 4 stitches on my hand on a Saturday evening. Only waited a few minutes to be seen and was out in about an hour. Doc was very efficient and kind. Stitches neat and tidy with good wound closure. Answered all questions and really seemed to care about the patient. Note: Its a small facilty, so you can not be admitted here if you need overnight care. You may want to go to the larger hospital emergency room in Greenville in that case.
Emergency department not very good at deescalating or listening. I requested a female nurse and they lied to get me in, saying I would get a female nurse and then gave me a male nurse. They said in the report that I said I was suicidal. This was untrue. I said I couldn’t breathe. They ignored me and proceeded to talk to my husband despite me trying to ask them to listen to me. I will start with the positive. The nurses were polite and pleasant, as well as the doctor who saw me in the ER. I received iv fluids and bloodwork, which both were helpful, but I left still not really knowing what was going on with me. However, the state of the bathroom in the ER was absolutely unsatisfactory. I had to provide a urine sample, and the toilet was very unclean, the toilet plumbing itself had an issue and was dripping/splattering water on the toilet seat and surrounding floor, and worst of all, there was a pan ... read more
