My experience with Dr. Gamage was highly inappropriate, first indicated right upon walking into his office, where I felt a sense of excessive hurriedness. He immediately informed me that I was urgently referred as I was being assessed for a brain tumour, characteristic of focal epilepsy, and that he didn't usually attend to patients on Sundays - only the most urgent of cases. Booked at the After Hours Clinic and drove my sick child there only to find a note on the door saying "Sorry, closed for tonight!" Maybe don't allow appointments to be booked if you are closing early!
Took them 3 months to contact me from a referral for my 6 month old with poor weight gain. Went somewhere else in the mean time. Definitely don’t live up to their name.
There aren’t even enough words to describe how amazing Dr Gamage is! If you are a parent with concerns for your child, possibly even feel like other professionals aren’t listening or taking your concerns seriously, Gamage will! I have taken both my children to see Gamage for very different reasons and both times Gamage has taken his time to carefully listen, collect all the info he needs and discuss concerns and options moving forward.
