They turned me over to collection agency and they come after me for full amount. Illegal. We are stuck with them in our county. I will be complaining to ou mayor.
There is an Emt named Melissa Ambrose from Oxford priority. She lives in New Albany. She is very unhinged and not safe to be a driver. She has often said she wants to go in the woods by the fire station and hang herself or shoot herself with her gun in her closet. I think she needs professional help ASAP.
Do not use this ambulance service. Their rates are astronomical. The true emergencies don’t get the care that they deserve because the greedy corporate leaders (Brophy) prioritize non-emergent hospital transfers. The residents of Tipton county are often left with little to no coverage because trucks are being sent to MEMPHIS for transfers. Tipton county - your citizens need you to cancel this contract and bring in a company that will do their job.
Billed over $5,000 for a less than 9 mile ambulance ride to Baptist hospital after insurance paid about $500. Insurance company says in network ambulances are limited to charging $800 for same service. This ambulance is the only one in the county and is not in network so they can charge whatever they want. The county resolution says this ambulance service is required to have “reasonable and competitive fees.” Is over $5,000 out of pocket “reasonable”? They have a monopoly in my area and refused the money my insurance was going to pay leaving me to pay way more than intended. Over 5k for a 20 minute ride not including the rude customer service.
